About The Designer
Kate Rathbun discovered her love of design as a teenager growing up on our rugged and beautiful Southern Oregon coast. Her passion for composing light, mood and balance led her into color coordinating, furniture arrangement and thinking about efficient use of space for her family and friends.
With a degree in communications from the University of Arizona where she studied art, design and psychology, Kate combined these talents with her keenness for effective and functional in our home and work spaces, wedding floral design, building, remodeling and design for home interiors.
This design consultant enjoys helping people realize their dream of a congenial and graceful atmosphere for home and workspaces. She takes pleasure in assisting her clients with their choices of style, color, lighting and furniture for the greatest efficiency, comfort, and beauty.
Kate believes that beautiful and nourishing spaces can be created for everyone no matter what limits might appear.
Kate and her husband enjoy the Northwest's temperate climate spending time hiking with their little beagle, sailing their Santana 20, and exploring Oregon's many scenic charms.

With an early background in obtaining public reports for builders and developers during the condominium boom in California, to property purchase and management in Minnesota, Kate has been active in sales, design, organization, and management of living spaces for a variety of clientele
